As part of its exclusive disposal agreement, A H Asset Solutions was instructed by a major North Sea operator to dispose of a new, unused KENZ DHC 60/300 offshore lattice boom crane that had been purchased for a project which was subsequently cancelled.
The crane was located at the manufacturing facility in mainland Europe and had recently undergone FAT testing. Before our involvement, the client’s only option was to resell the crane to the original manufacturer at a significant loss.
AH Asset Solutions listed the crane for sale and launched a targeted marketing campaign as part of its sales process. Despite the bespoke nature of the crane, this attracted multiple enquiries from both local and international sources.
Significant recurring monthly storage costs created an urgency to conclude a sale as quickly as possible.
Utilising our connections, AH Asset Solutions successfully brokered a sale to one of its retained operator clients. This arrangement proved mutually beneficial to all parties, ultimately leading to an expensive asset being re-utilised within the industry. It stands as a testament to our networking capabilities.
